On January 12, 2010 Haiti was struck with a magnitude 7.0 earthquake. There has been an outpouring of aid delivered to this nation. Many congregations have and will take up a special offering for the relief efforts today. Week of Compassion has set up a site to receive your donations [HERE], with 100% of the donations going directly to the aid efforts. According to Brandon Gilvin of Week of Compassion there are a few things that we may do to assist the people of Haiti in the wake of this terrible disaster.
1) Pray. Pray without ceasing. Be present with our sisters & brothers in Haiti.
2) Make cash donations to assist in the rescue, recovery, and rebuilding efforts.
Let us be the body of Christ and answer the prayers of our Haitian sisters & brothers. Everyday that goes by the people of Haiti suffer. Let us find our compassion for Haiti.
